Which Mojo sporran belt is best?
I'm looking at getting a sporran belt from Mojo Leather. The question is, which one? The basic or the deluxe? I know a number of XMarkers have such belts. Which one do you prefer and why?

I would choose the deluxe because of the clips in the front. I have similar style straps and much prefer the one with clips because it's easier to get on and off.

I like the basic because there are no clips or chain segments.
Have one in dark brown which I often wear with my brown leather SWK cargo sporran.

I was faced with the same decision as to which one to order. I decided on the basic because I didn't want a buckle in the back. I ordered the basic and I use it with the buckle on my left side. The buckle has a design on it and looks good on my side. The belt fits right through the belt slots on the back of my sporran and I can just slide the sporran and belt to the side when I need to.

I wear this one with the buckle in back; but I used to wear one with the buckle on my left side too. And yes, it's easy to just slide everything to the side at need.

Cowher, Dale, Santa: Thanks for your replies.
Cowher, have you noticed any wear on your kilt(s) from the deluxe with the clips? That's one thing I'd really like to avoid.
Also, for the basic and the deluxe, how is the "action" (for lack of a better word at the moment)? I hear that the strap reduces sporran flop a bit but I'm wondering if it's the same for either one.
These last two things being equal it seems it's just a matter of personal preference.

I believe that I experience less sporran flop with the basic belt since the belt goes though the belt slots on the back of my sporran.

I hook the clips together and they slide into the leather loop on the back of my sporran. All hidden. I don't have this brand so I don't know how their clips are and if it would work the same.
I have to admit I never though of wearing the buckle behind the sporran. That would be quite nice.

Hmm. I had never thought of that. Clever.
