    Not quite fitting

A few years back I bought a cheater kilt, velcro and tied waist. I was wondering if the inside apron was supposed to go all the way across both of my legs? It seems that I expose my nethers frequently. Not caused a problem yet, but when it is hemmed up the five inches I need, it will not drop as much.

So my question is, should I extend it underneath?

Yes, it should go right across, and no, your "nethers" should never be easily exposed... but that's what you get with cheapies.

I continue to advise saving one's shekels and buying one, good, heavy-weight wool kilt. If you don't want to spend all of the cash, then get a box-pleat. They're historically correct and traditional, significantly cheaper, and pleasant to wear. Nobody ever sees the difference and it hangs, covers, and behaves properly at all times. Always well worth the wait, and you'll have something of which to be inately and inestimably proud.
