seeking advice on a solid black kilt
Dear All:
I am wondering if anyone has some advice about a solid color kilt. I want to get a solid black kilt in acrylic (because it's light and easy to clean). There are two places I'm considering, either SWK or Kiltmart. The prices are almost identical but was wondering if any of you had a preference.
Kiltmart Affordable Kilts uses six yards of fabric. I don't know how many yards are used for the SWK Economy Kilt.
I'll be using this kilt for dirty business, camping, hiking, working outside...etc.
Thanks for the advice.
Cheers,

I've seen the low-end kilts from these two places side by side. One has belts - Kiltmart, one has velcro - SWK. No other difference that I could see.

Much though I appreciate your enthusiasm, a durakilt would be around 4x more expensive then the black SWK thrifty kilt that the OP is considering. Plus he specifically indicated he was looking for an acrylic fabric, does durakilt offer that?
I'm just suggesting a little sensitivity about plugging a company you're associated with, when its not directly responsive to the question at hand.
Best regards,
Jake

I saw go with the SWK kilts. Kiltmart's service isn't all that good. So for the same price, you get the same quality product, PLUS Stillwater service.

Acutually the economies have belts. The thriftys are the ones that are just velcro.

Nighthawk means SWK thriftys have velcro, and SWK economy has straps. Economy is ony another 10 bucks or so compared to thrifty.

I have a SWK Black tartan kilt and am very happy with the quality, and the price. Was one of my first kilts and has been my primary kilt for casual wear ever since.
