    Walker Evening Tartan

I'm considering having an 8 yard kilt made in "Walker Evening Modern" tartan. This would be my kilt for formal functions. Any opinions on this tartan? Should I purchase the material and then select a kilt maker or select a kilt maker and let them procure the material? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I would let my kilt maker take care of it and simply work with them, it saves the headache of trying to do it yourself when they already have the necessary contacts.
