Wee boys kilt
Morning! Second post on two days, here goes! I'm starting to make a kilt for my boy, he's 7, but skinny, Morrison Green Modern, medium 13oz tartan, pattern is 6 inches.... Would you do a full pleat with the 6 inches, but would that be too heavy for him? His measurements are 22inch waist, 25inch hips, 17inch length. I would love the pattern to look like a proper adult kilt, but worried about the weight. Thank you!

Having been a lad of seven years old (too many years to mention) he will adjust so quickly to the weight that you nor he will notice. Two of our members, Grizzbass and Barb have made kilts for children, that in the photos, are what you are describing. The children seem as natural as if wearing any other clothes.

The thanks should go to Barb T. She rules and I am humbled by her abilities.
