    When Wrapping Kilt for travel...

Can you use the Hose you plan on wearing to hold it together? or will that mess with the hose?

I think my kilt would stretch my hose unacceptably.

Do practice rolling your kilt a few times. About the third or fourth time through I started getting it right smoothly and consistently.

I have read a few times here that a retired leg of lady's hose works wonderfully as a rolled kilt holder. I would agree that my 36" waist 8 yard tank, smoothly rolled, would probably fit into the thigh portion of the retired leg of normal sized female hose.

Please don't use your kilt hose for this purpose, it will stretch them completely out of shape, or at least one of them which would be even worse. Get a used knee-high hose from your wife, or buy a cheap pair of lady's nylon hose and use these. Once you get the hang of the process it works very well, and quite quickly.

I have successfully used one of my wife's old thigh highs with runs in for holding a rolled up kilt. I have since invested in a kilt carrier, which seems more dignified.
