Where ought a kilt come to?
Ok so recently my SWK Nightstalker arrived (love it) and Im a little concerned as to where it hangs. When it's fastened up where it ought to be, it comes about a half-inch above me kneecap. Is this acceptable or should it hang lower??

That's fine. It's all down to personal preference. I like to to touch the top of my kneecap slightly and others like to have it an inch or so above.
Aslong as it doesnt look like this it's fine:

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

It's my opinion, it's in the right place... Or slightly higher.. Any lower than the center of the knee cap is too low..

I am a top of th kneecap to the middle of the kneecap man myself, but then I have very knobby knees that do not deserve inordinate exposure.

Your kilt length is fine. Gravity being what it is, most kilts will settle a little during the course of the day, sometimes perhaps as much as two inches, which is why some kilts look far too long by the end of the evening!

Yes, one or two of mine have a tendancy to scoot down and look too long. I think my kilts with the double straps on one side don't do this, though.

Personally where mine falls is a function of where I need to sit on my hips to properly stay up. That tends to be an inch or two above the centre of the knee cap, which I am sure pleases the traditionalists (and frankly I want to wear it that way anyways) - I had it measured that way. To me seeing the knee between the hose and the kilt is part of what gives a kilt it's masculin look... seeing half the knee is fine too but seeing none of it, no....
