New besopke Day Jacket & Waitcoat
Earlier this week I wnt down to the Borders to pick up my new Day Jacket & Waistcoat.

Cloth woven by Johnstons of Elgin, the outfit was made by Humes of Kelso who've made for me before and have always done a splendid job. As ever, I'm delighted with the result. The picture was taken in haste and really doesn't do the outfit justice. It will have its first outing next weekend at the 1745 Association lunch to commemorate the 270th anniversary of the Battle of Falkirk.

A wonderfully understated pattern that I am sure will get a lot of wear. Well done, lease post a photo of the entire outfit when you get a chance.

That is a beautiful jacket! I've always wanted a jacket similar to that. Very nice. I hope to see it with a full outfit.

Very sharp indeed, Peter...
