At the Steeplechaise
It was the Atlanta Steeplecaise. This may be considered a bit "modern" for some, but I think it's pretty conservative, just very casual. We were at the race, and everyone with my group opted for casual wear, i.e., blue jeans! (Where, oh where has the good taste in clothing gone?) Anyway, I chose a plain khaki shirt and boots (it was a bit muddy), and I wore the glengarry since it was windy and I thought it less likely to blow away.

At least it got me kissed by a pretty girl.

A fine look for sure.
Looks like the "kisser" has a wedding ring on.....watch yourself.....

Ron, that kisser is my wife. We've had a little practice. But the other kisser had a ring, too, and I didn't discuss it with my bride, actually. So, I really got kissed by two pretty girls, and a gagle of young ones ran me down later for a photo op . . . with their mother . . . who was also very pretty . . . who also got her picture make with me . . . .
Spartan Tartan, the sporran is the one I've wanted for ages, pig skin hunting. I bought it from davidlpope a while back, and I just can't bring myself to wear anything else lately. Thanks for the compliment. The sporran strap is from Oconee Leather, and I don't think I'd wear anything else.

Looks good to me but I'm still just a learner when it comes to THCD.
What type of boots and were you wearing hose? If so, with flashes or garters? What about a sgian?

CMcG, I had on a pair of lace-up ankle boots with lovat green Lewis hose. I always wear hose (except for those knee height boot socks I've owrn, but they look like hose), and latelyI wear only garter, those in dard red. Here is an old photo with the same boots--and maybe the same shirt--that gives you an idea:

Apparently the photographer prefers ceilings to shoes.

I've had the same problem with some photos showing "more ceiling than shoes"' with photos being cut off at the knees (as seen in the first photo of this thread). I believe folks look at your face and concentrate on that, not paying any attention to below the waist (sometimes cutting the picture off there). When asked to include the feet, the kilt can look too long because the camera is facing down from eye level. I've trained my wife to take photos of the group shots of the rabble at games. I have her bend over a bit and aim the camera from about waist high, it prevents the too long kilt look.
