Hank, does the board have a "buddy list" feature for sending PM's?

also, what do you think about a forum for introductions? I mean a place for newcomers to post first, introduce themselves etc.

At present newcomers just dive into a forum they choose and we/I miss the chance to welcome them.

There is not a buddy list for PM's. Sorry about that.

I can make a newcomers forum but I figure it will turn into a topic inside of it. Most people who post have a specifi reason for posting first and then they turn into regulars....

But I am willing to put it up for a vote.

I ask the main population here:

I think new kilt wearers should jump in with both feet and wear their kilts right from the start to get over most of the surprise to friends and family.

Maybe if you could put up a Sticky that asks new folks to introduce themselves quickly in the general forum? they can dive right in and we get the chance to find out who they are.

the sticky sounds like a good idea, as long as everyone agrees to keep it on topic.
