General question to any Moderator
Hi
I'm new around here. I fully understand the need to moderate and review posts from new folks before they appear...no problem. Good way to keep peace in the valley.
I'm just wondering at what point newcomers are no longer under moderation. Number of posts? Number of months? Bought the last round?
Like I said, just wondering. I couldn't find it in the FAQs or similar.
Many thanks
JT

Cameron Cat.
Normally you should no longer be moderated after 2 posts.
But don't quote me on that as we have a few members who's post are still going to moderation after 25 posts and we don't know why.
We are looking into it.

After some 4700 post many would say I still need moderating on a daily basis. Does that help?

Thank you, Steve.
I appreciate the reply. Something else I did notice recently: apparently my New Thread posts go (went) straight through to the world, yet my replies in existing threads seem(ed) to be held for moderation. Not sure what that might indicate but there it is.
Either way, no worries. I am particularly impressed by how well this forum runs mechanically. Every link works, goes where intended and there's content behind every door. Pretty impressive, and thanks for the work that goes into it.
@ccga...>>...many would say I still need moderating on a daily basis...
Aye, but what you need and what'cha get may be entirely different. <wink>
Thanks all.

"Well, Mr Clemons," said the doctor, "As far as I can can tell, you could live many healthy years. You'll just need to moderate that cigar smoking."
"Moderate?" exclaimed Samuel. "Doc I can either smoke too much or stop altogether, but how in the hell do I moderate?"
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Grant, you may not realize it but... ALL of your posts are being moderated, reviewed and, if needed, edited. As long as you stay on your meds your posts have been fine. It's when you slip off that things get a little, shall we say, off.
