Idea for new forum
Anybody else interested in a Scottish/Irish recipe forum? A place to post recipes for your favorite Celtic foods. Just a thought, if there is enough interest maybe the powers that be will add a Food/recipe forum.

Sounds cool, however, I have nothing to offer.

I can give a recipe for Shortbread (Kelly's family's recipe), but that's about it.

cool idea!
Hey there!
I like the idea! I really do... but as has already been said, I'd have nothing to contribute towards such a forum. Mind you, some Aussie cuisine probably has strong Celtic origins / ties, and I just don't realise it.
Mebbe someone has a recipe for cooking the rare Wild Haggis?
cheers!!

I have the haggis recipe, but it's a family secret.

I'm also a fan of the idea; but I'm not sure how we would store the files in a forum format. I've got a tasty cranberry/oatmeal scone recipe, and an Irish (sort of) chicken and leek stew that *rocks* when you pour it over a dollop of champ set a pint down next to it.

Sounds like a cool idea. I'd love anything to help my wife get into the kitchen!

This is on another site, but we've begun storing some recipes HERE.
That particular forum section is set up on a commercial add-on for vBulletin, called the Geek Article and Review System, or GARS. It has some handy features, such as the ability to sort articles alphabetically and to generate a printable version of an article.
As mentioned, this is a commercial add-on, so it's something we would have to run past Highlandtide. If there is enough interest, I'll see if he would be open to spending his hard-earned dollars for the add-on.
