    Most users ever online was 857, 03-16-2006 at 03:33 AM.
    So it says on the portal. I am curious whether something known precipitated this event, or was it just a happy coincidence?

    We were just swamped with search engine spiders that day. Unfortunately, not all were members or prospective members. But the spiders do help bring us prospective members, so they're not a bad thing.
