    Scottish arms and armour

With all of the interest generated by Puffer's Scottish steel pistol thread, perhaps the MODS would consider establishing a SCOTTISH ARMS AND ARMOUR forum where all of those posts about sgians dubh, dirks, swords, targets, and pistols, etc., could be lodged for quick and easy reference?

    Just a thought...

Weapons are tools and historically have been considered accessories.
I expect that our esteemed membership has the sense to treat this possibility properly. As long as no one is throwing gang sign or putting up inappropriate posts...

I think that it would be a good idea
my suggestion is to keep to historical information
I'm an 18th century guy born into the 20th century and have been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

I don't see keeping things in an historical perspective as being a problem. Granted there are a few modern day gun makers still active in Scotland (making some of the finest shotguns money can buy), but by and large I think 99% of the traffic on this forum would be about non-firearms-- swords, sgians dubh, targets and the like.

I think this would be a good idea. It could be set up as a history / re-enactment type section
