XMTS Artisans and Crafty Folks List?

I'm not sure whereto ask this and perusing the Rules, I did notice the section on "Concerning personal forum member Advertisements on X Marks the Scot" but am not sure if this would or wouldn't be allowed so I figured "Comments and Suggestions" would be best suited... So here's my question:

Is there a list on this site were members can list their skills/talents/hobbies/craftiness that are related to kilts, kilt accessories and the like? If there is not a list, would this be something viable for this site?

I'm thinking in terms of a list of Kilt Makers (professional or hobby), Leather Workers, Metal Workers, Knitters, etc. who would be interested and willing to share their skills with their fellow XMarkers. To me there's a difference between a private individual who's got a hobby and can make (for example) a sporran for a friend at cost vs. buying from a large company. Or who can I go to for handmade hose? Or who on here enjoys making kilts but doesn't do it for a living that is willing to make a kilt or two for other members?

Why I'm asking is that, while I'm relatively new here, I've had a good look around and have seen some awesome posts about Member-X making a kilt pin, sporran, jacket or kilt for Member-Y. I realize that there's a good chance that these folks already know each other - so the resource is already there, but for a newbie like me or others who haven't met anyone on here - the community resource isn't so readily available. Personally, I'd rather get my "gear" from members of this community if I can, I just want to know who you are! I have already used this forum to find my sporran and sporran straps, and most likely my next kilt (or two!)

Again, I don't know if this idea has been looked at and discarded previously but I thought I'd throw it out there. I know our advertisers pay money to advertise and there are rules against blatantly advertising a vendor/product but if individuals can use the avator and their signature to link to their website/advertise the business - I'm just wondering if this is something XMTS could do, though I do see potential pitfalls in regards to advertising, etc.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Noah

The entire volunteer staff of X Marks is currently working with me in reviewing and updating our rules to make them clearer and our processes more transparent.

One of the things we are definitely looking at is our policies concerning advertising and advertisers.

As it is our advertisers who pay for this site to remain on line we need a policy that does not jeopardize their contribution but still allows crafts people to present their work.

You are not the first to make this suggestion. As soon as we have an advertising plan ready to go into effect I will make an announcement.
Until then I am going to close this thread.

The Moderation Council and I thank you for the input.
