    1898 Nepalese Army patch knife

I previously posted pictures of this 1898 Nepalese Army patch knife, but I thought including a scale reference and the letter that accompanied the knife would be interesting to some X-Marks members.

In addition, I just finished assembling the British webbing belt I found on EBay and the belt buckle that was on sale at the Celtic Croft web site for $10.00. I still need to clean the belt and polish the brass, but I think it looks OK for a daywear casual kilt belt.

INMHO, I would have left the buckle off of the belt; the buckle is really far too formal for the belt and day wear in general.

In general I agree with you but I'll wait till I see it with the rest of the outfit. Having sent time in the military I was used to seeing a bit of polished brass for everyday uniforms. This buckle might be a bit much but it might work. I'd like it better if it was plain and didn't have the Lion rampant on it.

Agreed. It would look better on a stable belt.

I like that little knife, but I have trouble picturing it sticking out of the top of my hose with that curved handle. Would you send it to me so I could field test it. Oh, and I would gladly field test the belt for you, and if the buckle really is too dressy, although I don't think so, I could swap it to a plain leather belt.
