    Another deal on socks.

Hey all, it's been a while since the last time I was here, but I'm still out there showin' leg for the cause.

I came across another deal on Bridgedale long socks on Sierra Trading Post, and when I did a search, I couldn't find any mention of it here, so I figured I needed to let y'all know. These aren't "kilt socks" with the fancy cuffs, but they are "over the knee" socks, so I'm betting they'll work with a double fold-over, or like I do - pushed down.

The sock come in two colors - Dark Olive & Honey Brown - and both are only available in Large, which they say is men's 10 - 12.5. Price is $6.36.

    Here's the link.

    Hey, they're back!

Thanks for the link. These were on sale a while ago but they sold out fast. They are seconds, but nothing major wrong with the four pair I bought. They hold up well and are way tall enough for kilt hose.

The green are more of an olive drab and the honey brown is more of a gold. I also got some cinnamon color but doesn't look like that's part of the deal.

These puppies are thick, particularly on the bottom of the foot.

A great price for great hose - just gotta move fast. The olive drab go vey well with camo kilts and khaki kilts.

They're so good I went to great lengths to try to find a source for first quality Bridgedale hose. Got as far as an American sales manager but he didn't have a way to figure out who sold them where.

If mine weren't already doing so well I'd grab some more.

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered a pair of each, and even better I see that STP takes PayPal. I happened to have a $30.00 credit to my paypal account, so it was almost like a freebie.

I think that I was the one who originally spotted these and, after I had ordered and received them and determined that they were of adequate quality, tipped the forum off to them. I am, in point of fact, wearing a pair of the Olive Heather ones right now. I do seem to remember someone else ordered them and was not pleased with them and a lot of reluctance on the part of some because they're listed as "seconds". I've got four pair of the Dark Olive and four of the Olive Heather and they've held up well. The Olive Heather is nice because they have only a very slight tinge of green and appear to be an almost neutral grey. The Dark Olive are dark enough that they appear a dark grey...they're not Olive as in Olive Drab. I hope that Bridgedale gets the hint and continues to produce them. I've had very little luck finding a legit adress for Bridgedale and these socks only seem to show up on Sierra Trading Post. I'd buy them as "firsts" if I could find them anywhere. Some other colors would help...

I'm looking forward to them - I ordered one of each. STP notified me that the order had shipped, so I should have them later this week ...

These are good socks. I bought 2 pair when AA found them originally and have been very pleased. I bought the Cinnamon (a russet red), and I think the Olive heather. Wish I had gotten more.

Looks like Dark Olive is all that's left.

Thanks for the link...Although I normally only wear cream-colored hand-knitted hose with my kilts, I couldn't pass up the dark olive color and I just ordered a pair.
