In my youth,1940's/50's,those were very popular.I cannot remember seeing one recently,its a shame, as I think they are rather splendid.

When my fathers brother passed away, I was tasked with getting family members together to clean out his apt. Besides his kilt and other items in the apt there was just the kilt pin you are talking about. For some reason everything came out of the apt that was worth saving, but that kilt pin went missing. Kills me to think that it ended up in the trash.

I've always liked those, and been looking out for one. I have seen a couple, but condition was poor. I will have a look at this one. Thanks for the heads up.
