Anyone make a purchase here?
I was wondering if anyone has heard of or purchased from glengarryhat.com? I found a "Canadian Khaki" colored, silk lined, 100% wool glengarry hat for $11.50. [url]http://glengarryhat.com/514-large_default/canadian-khaki-glengarry-hat.jpg/url] That seems to inexpensive to be any sort of quality, but the photo makes my Scottish Mexican heart go pitter pat. Someone please tell me this is not to good to be a descent hat.

The original one seemed quite iffy to me- $120-$155 for a PV kilt with seemingly no choice of tartan! Be careful of those highway robbers...

I believe that Glengarryhats.com sources his headwear and other goods from Asia (i.e. Sailkot Pakistan) if that is a concern to you. The selection does however include some hard to find examples, such as the A&S red/white diced glens and balmorals etc. that a lot of other makers do not offer.
Most reviews of his products and services that I have encountered over the years have been very favorable. I'm going to make a purchase with him soon, and will give my 2 cents worth in a review.

balmorals run a bit small
I got a tan-coloured balmoral bonnet from them. Service was quick, the price was good and the material was of decent quality. Although the fit was right, the amount of material in the bonnet was a bit less than I would have liked, making it look more like military headdress than a proper bonnet. However, the price was good and I cannot say I did not get value for money. I would also add that I wish I had paid the extra money and got exactly what I wanted, since I have not been wearing this one much.
