Army Sgain Dubh
My step son is graduating from high school this May and as one of his gifts, I want to finish his formal kit. He will be headed for Ft. Knox to Train as a Cav Scout(Nevada National Guard), and then he will attend UNR in the Sr. ROTC program. His dream is to branch infantry. SO, the point of this thread is I would like to get him a Sgain Dubh with either an Army Seal or Crossed Rifles (I wore them in my time) and a baby blue stone. I will settle for the same type of thing for Cav (Sabers and Yellow).
Do any of my Kilted Brethren know where such an Item is available.
Thanks

Lapis Lazuli is a very nice blue stone - most of it seems to come out of Afghanistan. I saw a lot of beautiful Lapis while I was over there. A lot of US troops are bringing it back with them. Fairly easy to find on Ebay.
Good luck with this project.

Probably would be a custom job. Our own Rab Gordon might be able to help. See: http://www.rainnea.com/sgian-dubhs.htm. He can engrave the blade or inset a badge in the handle.

As Woodsheal suggested, take a look at the Alexis Malcolm Kilts website. I haven't bought a Sgain Dubh, but I did get a USAF kilt pin. I am very pleased with it. Good workmanship at a reasonable price.

Thanks All, we now have good starting points, and This will be a Good Thing. He will be wearing his kilt to Prom, so this is my public wish of a great time and no hassles by admin for him
