Attention all Newbies (or not so newby maybe?)
Hey, , I have noticed a few posts from Newbies, where they say they would love to go kilted, but find the cost a bit daunting.I have a few accessories that are surplus to my requirements - perhaps I can help someone out here. I well remember starting out myself, and how difficult it was.
I am especially impressed by the non Natives of Scotland who love this Country, and do all they can to promote their Scottish Heritage, even more impressive are the people with no Scottish blood ties at all, but who just love the kilt.
So, I am in the position to help one of you out a wee bitty. Not a lot, but I would think that every little helps. They are FREE to a good home, all I ask is that the proud new owner pays the postage to wherever they end up. I will close this on Sunday the 4th October at midnight BST, and pick someone shortly after that.
1) A sgian Dubh that I bought from EBay out of interest, I wondered how they could do it so reasonably, the answer - Made in China. I am a collector of Sgiannan dubh, but rarely wear them, this one has never been worn.
2) A Saltire tie, a modern concept tie, however goes well with many kilts.
3) A new pair of Saltire Navy Blue Flashes.
4) A Brand new never been worn of bright purple kilt hose, size 7-10 uk. (Way too gallus for me - didn't look so bright in the pic I bought them from.)
This is not a trick or a con, but a genuine attempt to help a struggling newbie out. So I ask that only genuine requests for the items are sent. Tell me who and where you are, and why you would like them and I will try to pick out the best response.
I will send them out as one unit, so don't ask me to split them up, I don't want the hassle. Tom....

I could really do with the hose, Tom. I only have one pair that fit. I am a tie wearer and do carry a sgian dubh when kilted. Willing to pay the postage.

What a thoughtful gesture! I'm sure you will find a good home for these items amongst the rabble.

That is a great idea I am sure there are a lot of members out there that have old stuff that they don't use anymore.

Tom, I am in need of a nice daywear sgain dubh. I'd love to take that lovely piece off of your hands, if it's not yet spoken for.
