As a few comments were made about my boots in the show your pics area, I thought I would post here and show you the other ones I also have. The make of all of them are 'Converse' and as far as I am aware they are called 'boxing boots'. I have a cream pair, green pair and brown pair. I am now prefering to wear the cream ones more as they (to me at least) make your feet stand out the least. Heres are few piccys of the boots and me wearing them .. any comments gratefully recieved about them, good or bad. The forum won't allow me to post some of the other piccys as I have used up the available space here to do so ... so I have to start another thread to continue . Sorry 'bout that. Derek

The colours do not come through well in the pictures, but generally I prefer a darker colour of boot. While you like the cream colour because it draws the least attention to your feet, I prefer a darker (and heavier) boot for the opposite reason. I find that a heavy boot gives a bit of balance to the whole kilted look. The cream colour, especially with cream hose, makes the feet somewhat dissappear. Kevin

Kevin I think the choice of a heavy vs. a light boot depends on the build of a man. Derek has a more lean body type than some of us; he looks balanced as is. Those with more "upper body" (ie. chest and shoulders or hips and waist ;)) tend to need that "blocky" look to extend down to the ground. That said, I am intrigued by the high-top sneaker thing; I just don't think I could pull it off. I have seen what looked like running shoe high-tops that had the padded walls extending up the ankles - they looked like a cross between runners and hiking boots - but I don't recall where I saw them.
I wear my all black All-Stars all the time, with or without hose, and always get good comments about it.
