    California Sgian Dubh

I am having a new Sgian Dubh made by one of California's Finest Artist Dave Atwood. He runs The Salmon River Forge. Here are some of the images of the Sgian Dubh. The blade is Damascus with 161 layers of folded and hammered steel.

Blacksmithing, a 5,000-years-old craft, and the basis of all trades, allows us to
compliment other crafts through a variety of mediums and designs.

In the traditional fashion, Dave and his wife Glenna use a coal forge and fire to shape each item one
    hammer blow at a time.

The need to make and repair equipment for wilderness and trail activities within
the Marble Mountain, Siskiyou and Trinity Alps Wildernesses of
Northern California has inspired the growth of the
    Salmon River Forge.

Just give Dave a Call. You will have a great time talking to him and he can make the Sgian Dubh of your dreams.
