The badge is a Seaforth Highlanders badge, not the Camerons.

The badge is of the Seaforth Highlanders rather than the Cameron Highlanders. The Seaforths were amalgamated with the Camerons to form the Queens Own Highlanders in 1961. In more recent times they were amalgamated with the Gordon Highlanders to form the Royal Highlanders and, just last year, were subsumed into the Royal Regiment of Scotland. The Seaforth badge is drawn from that of the Mackenzies of Seaforth.

From the size of the sporran you give it's probably a child's sporran with the Seaforth/Mackenzie badge a later addition. Can't tell you anything about the hallmark I'm afraid!

Just a slight correction, but in 1994 the Queens Own and Gordon Highlanders were amalgamted into The Highlanders -- no "Royal".

I stand corrected. Hope I haven't offended the Black Watch!

I think it's a child's sporran with the badge added later as well, but what are the dimensions of it?

The sporran looks relatively new & none military, so I doubt it was a youth/drummer/piper of the regiment. Probably the young son of a military family.

I am intrriqued by it. I think you could be right about the badge being added the silver work on it is very nice the badge seems out of place I wondered if it had been made up. I picked it up in a charity shop for the grand price of £1.50 Lorain
