    Casual sporran

I am looking into getting a casual sporran. I like the look of the Rob Roy style. I'd like to get one that is soft and roomy. I have looked at some of the vendors that advertise here, but don't see much selection. I also plan on checking out ebay, but I am not a big ebay fan. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I would say either go for a Freelander or a Thorfinn sporran, I have one of each and they are both roomy enough to hold most anything you need to take with you.

Freelander and Thorfinn sporrans are beautiful, high end hand made items, but if you're looking for a rob roy sporran in a lower price range, the Inverness sporran from Buzz Kidder is a great option...

I don't have one (yet), but our own Donnie makes them with really cool carved leather, like basket weave on the flaps and stuff.

My favorite Rob Roy sporran is made by Sue Craigie of Craigie's. They are made of soft, but strong elk hide and they are very roomy. They come in braided and unbraided; and, colors ranges from black to different shades of brown. I have a braided brown and an unbraided black.
