I am not at all certain that there is a "Clan Geddes" with a distinct clan badge. While there may be arms in Scotland associated with the name(s) Ged or Geddes, that is by no means indicative of the existence of a Clan or Clan Chief by that name. I think, pending further research by yourself, you should probably stick with the Gordon badge.

Ged and Gedd A pike’s head ppr Ged A hand ppr, holding up an escutcheon gu. (cf 219.7)

Geddes and Geddies A pike’s head couped ppr Motto: Durat, ditat, placet Geddes and Geddies A stag’s head couped ppr Motto: Fata prudentia major (cf 121.5)

Geddes and Geddies A stag’s head Motto: Veritas vincit (cf 121.5) Geddes and Geddies On a mural coronet a bundle of seven arrows banded.

I can vouch for the Celtic Studio; that's where I got my Clan Badge. Mine was not in stock, but he had the design, and made one. I don't remember what it cost, but I thought it was reasonable.

My mother is related, directly but also distantly, to the oil Gettys, who by various turns emigrated from Scotland to Ulster and from there to NY State in the 1700s. The Scottish spelling of 'Getty' is 'Geddes' and family information (in the form of verbal tradition) is that in Scotland they were associated with Clan Graeham or Graham etc.

As a side note: After landing in NY, we stayed poor and the oil folks got rich, but at least we poor folk remembered our clan.
