Clan shirt vendor?
Hey all -
Rather than waiting for the next Highland games, can anyone suggest a decent, trustworthy online vendor for clan badge shirts and/or baby shirts? I'm looking for something stateside...

You could check with Matt at the STM, he still had some stock when I was down there in March. The shirts look like this

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Just FYI, we had to discontinue that line of shirts, because our supplier went out of business. As McMurdo said, we still have some stock left, but we are limited to what we have in stock, we are not able to order any more. What we do have is on sale, though. Call or email the museum (or you can PM me) to see what we have left.

You might try the website for the specific clan you are seeking shirts in, as the Clan Forrester website (my clan) has its own gift shop and items like shirts, hats, pins, even tartan material at prices better than I could get out on my own shopping elsewhere.

I would second this suggestion, and add that if your clan does not offer a kit shop, here is another alternative:

I guess I should toot my own horn for this one - please check out my web site at Cafe Press. I have tried to include a lot of different items with the clan badge on them. If the clan and/or the item you are looking for is not there email me at thecelticgypsy@yahoo.com and I will get it on the site as soon as possible. I am currently working on badges that have the clan plant as well as the clan name.

You could also try http://www.kiltsnquilts.com/. Let 'em know John Scott (Clan Scott Society) recommended them!

I've used both Monographics (http://www.monographics.net/pages/clan_crests.htm) and Highland Embroidery (http://www.highlandembroidery.com/) for garter and buckle embroidery in the past, both with good results.
I don't think the Highland Embroidery site is really active, but if you call Steve Green at 704-262-7783, he'll be able to assist.
Incidentally, Monographics will embroider shirts you provide (if that's your preference) at $16 apiece. Contact Bob Sears at 909-949-2991.
