It does look rather nice, however, I doubt many people would be willing to pay that much for a part of their attire. Would be best for an antique collector

There is a saying that someone "knows the price of everything but the value of nothing" and that comes across very much as the case here. Nowadays dirks are very much the preserve of pipers or collectors. Anyone else is just looking for an over-sized pencil sharpener, in which case the price definitely is too much.
