    Doublet from Pakistan

Hi Guys, (I forgot the questionmark in my title...)

    I found this on ebay...

    http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/181686073040?nav=SEARCH#

..and was wondering if anybody has experiences with it.

    Let me know.

No experience to speak of here, but I'd like to chime in with an add-on question.
In the photos of the item, it appears there are two belt loops on the back.

Is a doublet of this style intended to be worn with a belt at the bottom (not 'below' the doublet, on the kilt itself)?

I have no experience with the doublet but to answer Tenmiles, they are worn with a dirk belt around the doublet, like this:

Whether belt loops are always provided I cannot say.

I can't say about the Doublet, but I have an Argyll jacket and waistcoat from Leatherfalconary it arrived on time and as per description, it fits well and I could fine no fault with it other than one or two buttons had sharp-ish edges to them (a quick run along the edge with a small file sorted that). The package was obviously sent by courier / airmail from Pakistan to London, a new label put on over the top and it sent on to me.

Like The Q I have no experience but it seems that most of the clothing in the UK comes from 'third world' countries now. Can't see that it would be a problem for the price.

You never know with Indian and Pakistani-made doublets and jackets. I've seen some which were very nice and utterly traditional-looking, some that have very odd features, like strangely-shaped cuffs or flaps. The same firm will often make both good ones and strange ones for no apparent reason.
