finally joined the Fawn Mackie club
I've wanted a Robert Mackie Balmoral in the colour they call Fawn since, well, since I first saw one back in the 1970s.
I ordered one a couple months ago and it finally came yesterday! I love it.

I know quite a few XMark members have been wearing these for ages, it's nice to join the club.

Lookin' good, Richard! - the hat that is, not you. I'm a wee bit jealous, so pardon the sarcastic personal shot.

All is forgiven Father!
By the way, both that Fawn bonnet and that tweed jacket have subtle colours which are difficult to get right on my computer monitor.
I discovered that it was impossible to adjust a photo's colour so that both the bonnet and jacket are correct.
So here on the left the bonnet looks correct on my computer, on the right my jacket looks correct on my computer.

The bonnet is a muted/greyish beige with the slightest hint of green, the jacket is a muted grey-green (Feldgrau) with flecks or hints of blue and olive.

It is a good look, my favourite Balmoral is my Fawn Mackie I wear it much more often than my Lovat Green. I was wearing it today as a matter of fact

I wasn't aware there was a "club" - when I bought mine, my lady simply told me that the "fawn" was the "least offensive" to her eye.

Yesterday I piped at a funeral wearing this outfit, got a pic when I got home afterwards.
The fawn Mackie has a nice effect with the outfit as a whole, I think.
