I've been thinking that the average "Saxon" ties just don't look right - they're generally too long to wear with a kilt, and the shorter and wider ties tend to look nicer. Now... if I could only find the shorter/wider one in a solid red that tones with the red stripes in the Lochaber Weathered, I'd be a happy man.
