Hand knit garter ties on Etsy

Today I received my pairs of garter ties I picked up on Etsy. The knitter is quite fast in her knitting, and can do custom colors on request. The price point is in my range at a paltry $15.00 per pair. I bought two pairs, one in red and one in gold.

They are quite stretchy, and chunky which I like as it fills out the cuff a touch quite nicely on my daily wear bargain hose, yet aren't too much with my Lewis hose. With just light tension they really work well at keeping my hose up.

The garters are made of acrylic yarn to keep things affordable and easily washable and I like the brighter colors often seen in acrylics. The red is a nice vibrant red, the yellow is magnificent to my eyes, it's like a goldenrod color, brighter than mustard but darker than a primary yellow.

I'm pretty pleased with my purchase, if y'all are looking for some garter ties look up blueridgeknits on Etsy!

That is a good price. I find them mind numbingly boring to knit. Poor Bob often makes do with cheaters -- short ends that wrap around an elastic garter and just look like the real thing!

They look really nice, and the price is dirt cheap. I believe that I will have to order a few pair as well.

    Cheers for sharing.

Those look nice! How reasonable was shipping? How long are they? I bought some woven ones from made by House of Cheviot, but they were slightly too small at only 30" unstretched between the fringe.

Yes she does very nice work!

She knit a claret pair for me, custom/bespoke extra-long due to my fat calves. (UK-made shooting garters are too short.)

Yes they're much more stretchy than UK shooting garters. For me this is a good thing because they stay up.

I wear them with my castellated hose. They're great! Long enough to go around my calves and still make a big nice knot.

BTW I got mine on Ebay, but I'm pretty sure it's the same person.

I paid $2.50 for shipping for my two pair, I never measured mine but her listing states 32" unstretched, and they can stretch a good bit!
