Help with measuring a kilt jacket
Ok folks,
I need some help. I am looking at a made to measure kilt jacket on kiltstore.net. One of the measurements they are looking for is the back measure. It states to take this from the nape of the neck to the waist. Which waist are they talking about???? The top of the rump or where the kilt normally sits....
Any help appreciated!
Mike

Others will know better but I would expect they are refering to the kilt waist position. Where your belt would sit.

They're probably looking for the natural waist which is right in between the bottom of the rib cage and the top of the hipbone. Normally the narrowest part of the torso. (That part of me that I am constantly in a battle with).

Thank you! Of course, that has not been the narrowest part of my torso since I separated the military!

Which I'm sure they also expect will be the place at which your kilt will stop! I'd consider measuring to where you will wear your kilt - you'd not like to have too much of a gap if you wear your kilt low.
