I would like your opinion
I will be attending a wedding as a guest in January. My wife wants me to wear a Thomas of Wales kilt (lots of red and green). I've decided on a charcoal argyll jacket with waistcoat, red tie and black shoes. My question is 1.charcoal hose or 2.bottle green hose?

I think that you could honestly go either way!

I agree with this. However, one principle I have always heard is to match your hose to the dominant color on your upper body, in this case the charcoal jacket, to "frame" the kilt.

While it sounds like the green hose would work, I'd personally go with the charcoal to match & balance (top & bottom) with your jacket. Sounds like you'll have a great looking outfit either way.

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

I would say charcoal, BTW, my brother got his PHD from A&M.

I would go with the charcoal gray, I'm sure it will be a wonderful outfit.

I'll go along with the charcoal and red flashes.

Ditto on what they both said. I'd most likely wear the charcoal.

What time of day is the wedding? If it is in evening, argyle or diced hose in the color of the kilt would be appropriate.

The wedding is at 4pm but I don't think I'll have time for argyle or diced to reach me in time as I would have to order.
