    interesting vintage sporens on Ebay

Yes, you read it correctly! Somebody in Australia is selling a couple 'antique sporens' on Ebay.

Very interesting indeed, as they appear to use vintage cantles put on strange home-made bodies.

The cantle on the upper one here is very nice and probably worth the price, so as to mount it on a different sporran.

The bodies have plenty of snaps to keep them from ever accidentally coming open!

    Here are the listings

I rather like the cantle on the first one, too bad it's half a world away. The bag does seem to have some age. That second one is just. . ick.

Click on "seller's other items" and there's a kilt pin mislabeled as tie tack/brooch.

Neither one is something I would purchase. I'm not sure why, but they just don't grab my interest.

I rememebr being told a while ago when I was looking for a VW Golf to use "wrong" spellings and check other categories when searching new paper classifieds (pre-online days). Its amazing what can be found this way, it can help in negotiating a price as they dont get many/any offers because the item they are selling is not found by prospective buyers.
