    Inverness Cape

I just noticed this on a newsletter sent to me. The Gentleman's Emporium is now marketing an Inverness cape. It appears to be wool, one-size-fits-most and only available in black. I have purchased a lapel vest from them and really liked the price point and the fit and finish. As far as this cape goes, however, I am only passing on the info; I don't have any review or stake in this. It's strictly FYI. The website:

    If anyone knows any more....

Much less expensive than one would think for wool....which leads to my caution of, "You can have any two of price, quality, or service." A Mr. Antony's Inverness cape in tweed remains on my wish list....I do have one of Mr. Antony's Ultimate Raincapes that serves me well I the summer storms here in the desert. Thanks for the link to the Gentleman's Emporium website...

The British Army issue ones used to be very good. They were a bottle green colour and made of wool.
I don't know whether they still get issued, nor do I know who the manufacturer was/is, but they were good quality.
