Jedi Knight Kilt Belt
One of the things I saw at the Star Wars convention, was a really nice Jedi Knight belt. These belts would be awesome kilt belts. They go about 185 each, but worth it. I am planning on at least one to go with my masonic sporran after I get raised on 12 June. www.bohemianmercantile.com Go to the Corellian Imports section

Ok, I love these topics, so, I have been in love with starwars since I was like 8 when I saw ROTJ in theaters, ever since then I have wanted to make films.
one thing I have learned in the process of film making/costuming, never go for the hand made stuff if your on any type of budget. also don't just go for props that look exactly alike. I have 4 complete jedi and sith costumes all of which were scrounged together for under $20

and

now, (I know your looking at the lightsaber, I get that alot,) take a close look at the belt. just a regular 1.5 inch belt with a piece of cloth rapped around my middle.
anywho, I love starwars costuming, and I recommend you check out http://theforce.net/fanfilms/tutorials.asp <- great stuff on costuming and everything there, they are all really good at that.
for a belt you could also look into a freelance saber maker www.parksabers.com specifically these for $70-$80 instead of $200.
Also check these out: http://www.jedi-academy.com/ep1_kenobi_belt.html

these were just the sites in my favorites folder, googleing it could find many more results.
I do like the look of the jedi belt on a kilt. great idea. maybe I'll even venture to grab a couple of shots with my kilt in full saber action. but it will have to wait a week or so until finals are done and over.
hope I helped!

Oh yeah, forgot, the pics are opening day of SWIII, yes I saw it at 12:01 and then I wore the costume to school all day... and was made fun of.

They do look good, I went to Tandy and they hooked me up with a leatherworker( I will learn to do this) and she is doing a belt for my Burningman kilts( LBE style) for 50 plus materials. It might be a shot.
OTOH Congrats on your raising

I got the gent at http://www.leathergoodsconnection.com/ to make me a 2.5 inch ranger belt, and use it as a kilt belt, and with my Jedi robes.

Jedi robes are among the next Star Wars item I plan to make. I'll keep your comments in mind about doing a combo kilt belt / jedi belt.
Currently, I have the Stormtrooper armor and Royal Guard robes. Oh - and I'm a member of the Kilted Stormtrooper Brigade, too.

I'm not sure if you saw a thread i posted some time back about a company called faire leather? Michael, the guy who runs Faire Leather is very very accomodating adn super easy to work with. I believe he is a member here now. Anyway, here's a shot of the front

and here's a shot of the back

now mind you this isn't Jedi, but it is totally custom. I took some exsisting designs, mixed em up, changed colors, buckle...and then Michael worked his magic and came up with the final design. Point is, there are awesome leather workers here on board who could probably make something up for you.

Cloves how much did that cost you?

Some of those belts look easy to make. Just take a regular belt and attach a wider piece of leather inside it!

I'd prefer not to say, as it was totally custom, and the price was negotiated with the maker. I suspect if you wanted one exactly like it, it might cost you a bit more than I paid anyway as this was essentially a prototype. In any case, if you dig it, but want something tattaly yours, I'd encourage you to fire off an email to Michael at Faire Leather. As stated before, the guy is a gentleman and a pleasure to talk to.
