Linda Clifford, Scottish and Irish Merchant?
Was surfing, adding to the ever burgeoning wish list, and came across Linda Clifford's site. She has, what looks like, pretty nice sporrans, matching buckles, and belts. From what I can tell, her wares look as good as any other I have seen!
Anyone have any experience with Linda or her creations? I like what I see, but I am really wary of buying this kinda stuff over the net, caveat emptor, know what I mean! She is this side of the pond too, so no customs or tariffs, so what say you all!

She is not far from me but I have never been to her store nor purchased anything from her.
One of these days I do plan to get up to Bethel and check out her store.
I will let you know if/when I do...

Hey kilted in Maine!
That would be awesome! I have family in Portland, but have no idea how close that is to Bethel.
I don't know if she is a middle "person" but her sporrans and belt buckles really got my mouth watering.
Keep me posted
Thanks

Looks nice. I will try to get there and nose around in the next month. Thanks for the heads-up.

I have seen Linda Clifford's site in the past when doing tartan searches. It used to be very amateurish. Professional-looking now.
Those photos have the look of others I have seen. I wonder about the source.

I might be terribly wrong, but her prices look a bit steep to me. Even with the conversion rates and all. I think you might do better with our own XMarks merchants.

It is only about 1 hr & 45 min drive from Portland to Bethel - nice drive through the western lakes region.
Bethel is home to Sunday River ski area and they used to have a train from Portland but they could not cut it financially.
It may be worth a Sunday drive (I better check her hours first) - I will let you know...

That would be great!
I miss New England so much I heard that the ice strom of several years back really did a job on the backwoods!
I wish there were more comments, hate to think you went on a goose chase!

I was just thinking... I do believe I bought the tartan from her for my kilt about 8 years ago. Got everything I needed for the kilt in one package - a basic pattern, buckles and straps.
