    Looking for a kilt pin

I am looking for a kilt pin with a matte black finish. I thought I had seen one before, just can't remember. Does anyone know where I can find one?
I'm working on a digital camo kilt, and I think that kind of pin would look best.

I'm pretty sure that Stillwater had them for a while. That's the only place that I can ever remember seeing them.

Take this partly tongue in cheek, but if you find one you like (that is not in matte black) for a good price, you can always paint it with spray paint from the hardware store.

    this might work

it's really military and would look awesome on a camo kilt....if you can get past the "soldier for hire" aspect.

Go to a stained-glass supply place and get a bottle of Novacan lead patina (or similar brand)- it's cheap.
It will turn pewter black. Works on some other metals also. If the pin is chrome, you might have to scuff it with an abrasive pad first.

If you don't have any local stained glass stores, just let me know. I always have black patina around since I make stained glass for a living.

Black enamel paint also works well on some metals. You can find it at any paint or hardware store, and of course, Wal-mart.

Don't think for a minute that I hadn't thought about that.
