New Day Sporran from SWK
I've been looking for something 'dressier' than my usual Buzz Kidder sporrans for nice daywear. Not dissing the Kidder stuff in any way, they're still the most roomy versatile good quality sporran around! I just got it into my head they look too 'casual' in some settings, and I should get a nicer looking more traditional style for those times I might dress up a bit, like a day wedding etc...
Now that I've further justified my purchase , here's a couple photos;

This is the "Embossed Black Leather Sporran" model for 36 bucks. The sporran is a good size, and made with nice leather, a little thicker than some of my other "inexpensive" sporrans. The flap is a double thickness so that the snap is hidden, and all the seams and stitching look good and sturdy, including where the tassles are sewn in. I'm well aware that this sporran was made by a vendor someplace in Asia, but I think Jerry does a pretty good job of selecting good quality items from said vendors.

looks nice, How much room is in it? I find my basic $15 swk sporran is nice for the price but a bit tight when holding my wallet

Iain, I looked it over with a ruler in hand and came up with these internal dimensions;
1-3/4 inches front to back. (thick ?), 8 inches top to bottom, and 7 inches side to side at the widest point.
Based on most of the examples I've seen, I figure it is "average" sized for this style of sporran. But I guess it depends on how fat your wallet is! One of the adjustments I made after I started wearing the kilt more than p@nts was to replace my big fat 'trucker style' wallet with a slimmer tri-fold style, and I make an effort not to keep so much crap in it!
I got this sporran for it's look, not capacity, but yesterday in a pinch I carried the tri-fold wallet, a car key, small digital camera, folding knife, and a flip phone in it, but it was pretty packed! If I knew I was going to carry all that I would have brought along one of my roomier Buzz Kidder sporrans, which can handle all that and more!

I really like the tooling that was done on it! For the price, it's pretty good looking. (I could do better... but I'd charge more, too! )
