New kilt, new sporran, new outfit
I've been going through a process of selling off several sporrans, jackets, and other things that I never wear.
The goal was to put together a new outfit, and here it is so far.
My main thing was a Hunting Stewart Weathered kilt. I went with tartan tweed by Marton Mills, the kilt made by USA Kilts.
Second in importance to me was a Hunting Sporran. I've wanted one since the mid-1970s and now I have one, by Margaret Morrison. It's a beautiful thing.
To dress up my vintage pipes I got a new bag-cover and cords from Alasadair MacDonald.
Here they are! (I roped my daughter into playing the photographer today.)

That should be on a t-shirt!
I can almost see it.
Thanks!

Love the kilt. Love the sporran.
Love the entire look... except the tie. Is it really that bright or is it the photos?

I had the same thought. That tie is very vivid!

About the tie, yes it is a tad on the bright side, but it looks brighter than it really is there because the way the sun is hitting it.
Here it is on an overcast day, this photo is more true. Lesson learned, if I do another photo shoot I'll wear a non-shiny tie.

It's a club tie, actually a Facebook Group I'm a member of.

I figured it was the angle of the sun in the first pics that was giving it the neon effect.

It's the sort of thing I have to keep in mind when having my picture taken, it's like in early television where people couldn't wear white shirts, or even as late as the 1960s where you couldn't wear pinstriped shirts.
So I need to stick with ties that have the same texture as the jacket and kilt, wool ties probably.
