It's a vintage Miracle Brooch.
It was silver plated, but the silver is practically worn off.
Best,

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I really admire your taste, Robert.
So, while I was at Grandfather Mountain this year, I had my eye on an expensive antique amethyst and silver pin, but the vendor did not seem all that interested in selling it - it seemed a horrible inconvenience that I should ask about it. Instead, for much less, I finally got a Miracle brooch of my own from a more eager seller:
When David and I took a drive out to nearby Blowing Rock, I also picked up this little fellow to go on my McCreary kilt, just for fun - until I find exactly the right pin.
Regards,
Rex
