New kit - County Cavan amd Wyvern sporran
Greetings rabble,
I finally made it home after 10 months overseas and was able to get my hands on the new kit i ordered while away. Talk about jonesing, paid and delivered yet i could not get my hands on it!! I posted pictures of the items as they arrived at home, but i figured i would post pictures of the whole new kit put together. The kilt is USA Kilts Premier in county Cavan 13 oz tartan (8 yard); sporran is from Wyvern Leatherworks in espresso brown with pewter cantle and the bag designed after the culloden style sporrans out there; ancient green lewis hose from HoC; ankle brogue boots from All Saints. Weather has been nice in south florida the last few days, so this outfit was perfectly comfortable. It feels good to finally be kilted again!!

Very nice!
I admire both your kilt and sporran! Very nice palette in the tartan, and I like that it's pleated to the stripe.
I received a new Premier kilt from USA Kilts just last week, and am in the process of finalizing details with Donnie at Wyvern to make me a new sporran.
Great minds think alike!
Cheers,

Thank you! Yes, we must be on to something here hehe
The picture doesnt do the pleat work justice. The folks at USA Kilts did a great job. There is a 8.5 inch taper from hios to waistbut its seamless.

Good man, looks great! I've family connections in Cavan and think that the tartan is really quite beautiful. Lovely stuff.

Very nice tartan. I dig the historical style sporran. I like the ones made for the MOD cantles but those are so expensive and hard to find. Neat to see one in that style with a more common cantle.
