    New (to me) jackets!

It has been a good week for me as I ramp up my kilt wearing. I went from having one Argyle Jacket to soon owning two.

the first "new" one came this week from KiltedCole. It is a twill woven tweed with warp and weft of different colors. One is a grey the other Lovat blue. Here are a couple pics. I warn you that the shirt I was wearing today was a bit big and the cuffs of he that shirt came down to far, making the jacket sleeves look short, which they are not.

The next new one is an eBay find that I just got a winning bid (the only bid) today. I can not wait for it to arrive as it is a fine bold tweed at an extraordinary price!

Congratulations on the fine acquisitions. I do like the the colour of your first one, something different from the usual lovat blue or green. As for the second one, fantastic. I was watching it on ebay and wondered if a Xmarker would snap it up. Well done on both counts.

Both jacket are nice; I especially like the first one. The second one I saw on e-bay, but as I recall, figured it was just a titch too small. It is a bold check.

Your first jacket is very unique. What an amazing colour combination coming from lovat blue and grey woven together - twill weave does a wonderful thing to the appearance of a fabric. In the first photo, I thought it had beige or brown threads in it.

You have two very striking jackets, and great prices are a bonus, well done, IsaacW.

Who wasn't watching the second one? IIRC it was a 40 inch chest and I'm a 42 inch. I didn't want to risk it.

Thank you all for the nice replies and kind words. I am excited to have 3 jackets that differ and are not the standard usual look/color/weave. I think this will make it easy to get a vast variety of looks and meet the needs of almost any situation I will be in. The only situation not covered would be black tie, but I really never have such situations to worry about. So... three vintage jackets with not a single one reaching over $100!

Here is the weave on my first ever jacket. I got this one off ebay and it is a vintage argyle jacket with real leather buttons.

I really like those jackets and think you look great. I especially like that they are unique in patter and colour.

I'm a tad jealous, I have not been able to find a good jacket in my size for quite some time...well, not for under $100! I suppose I have found several if I want to spend over $500 per jacket (which, of course, I do not).
