New Thorfin Sporran
Have a look at this little beauty:

Oh, and this one

How in the world can Cav afford two sporrans you ask? Well it's not really two sporrans. It's the revolutionary Thorfin Sporran from Turpin.
The color is Mahogany. The top photo is a solid color sporran and the bottom photo is the same sporran with a Kahki-green flap. Turpin is whipping me up a Fraser Hunting Flap trimmed in Mahogany as a third option. Looking forward to seeing that.
Now, the beauty of this is not just on the surface. You gotta look under the hood too.
Inside is a cell phone / small accessory pocket. Great feature. The leather these are made of is very nice. Great texture on the outside and soft suede on the inside. Great stitching.
I asked Turpin to leave the thongs loose so I could play with some alternative decoration (maybe horse hair or just some simple metal pieces. I'm still sorting that out.
This is a great piece. My Buzz Kidder might be starting to gather a bit of dust in the closet once I make a dark brown belt to go with this baby. Maybe something with brass and copper buckle and accents
Thanks Turpin. I'm gitty as a school girl

That is very nice.... I was lusting after one of his sporrans after handling one at the last kilt night!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Hmm I really want one of those... Oh wait, the sporran fairy already visited me. And he brought beer! How considerate.
I can not recommend one of these enough. Especially when they come with free beer... My own review is in progress.

Your Fraser flap's in the mail, Cav. Hope it's more to your liking than the first one.

It's really nice! I wish that I had the talent you have Turpin. Good thing you don't know where I get my Celtic buttons!
I'll be contacting you about buying some of those buttons, Beuth. And honestly, the flap idea came to me one sleepless night after much scotch. Great minds? Adding fabric as a flap cover was suggested by a friend, and I had a swatch of gordon tartan so it seemed like a natural fit. We'll have to work out the royalties and licensing issues one night soon at the Flying Saucer...or Coyote Ugly
