    OD Hose

    http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c....aspx?a=919164

    Review:
    Pro: Warm. Thick foot, very tall, color I haven't seen anywhere else.
    Con: For thin to medium calf. Would likely be too tight on thick calf.

    I got some Italian ones from them a while back- not quite so long, but nice and thick.
    Some take the high road and some take the low road. Who's in the gutter? MacLowlife

    Re: OD Hose

    I recently ordered a trio of the Czech wool socks to go with some other *ahem* 'Italian clothing reminiscent of British hunting attire'. They are absolutely wonderful to wear once washed a few times to get the odour out and softness in. If you own a surplus commando sweater, they match that perfectly in colour and texture and look rather dashing with the garters showing. I have a US size 10 foot and they are just large enough.

    Did yours have any label for fiber content? It is difficult to make a comparison without that information, and the site did not say.

    Re: OD Hose

    Readers;
    For the 'what its worth department'---"Strum" makes the West German army boots I am wearing as I peck this email. They were made in 1975, and I got them a few years ago, via Sportsmans Guide. They are holding up very well:: so, it seems the Socks from the same military supplier should do the same. I think I will buy a couple of pairs.
    Thanks for the tip Larry 124
