One for the ladies: Handbags. Or who is it on here that makes the custom Sporrans?
So, most ladies crossbody handbags are, to be blunt, rather unattractive and boring or made of hippie fabric and too boho for what I'm looking for. I want an oversized "sporran" style to wear with my kilt/skirts.
I've been using a cheap-y one from Nordstroms jr. department, but it's not nearly as much fun as the sporrans the men get to wear. I've checked my go to: etsy.com and nothing.
I want a crossbody, leather, oversized sporran style handbag.
Any suggestions?

If you look in my albums, there's a photo of one I made one for myself out of two layers of silk, with magnetic closures and inner pockets.
If it interests you, pm me and I'll send you some instructions.

Check out Sporran Nation..

Look at their "sporran bags". They're pricey, but cool.

I highly recommend Chris at Sky Raven Wolf. She is currently making me a flask wrap and is making for my wife an exceptionally beautiful rucksack. She has created many beautiful bags, belts and sporrans that you can see on her website: http://www.skyravenwolf.com/products...e=1&perpage=12

I commandeered a Buzz Kidder sporran Mickey bought and decided he didn't like. I went to JoAnnes and found a nice long leather strap in the purse making department and voila`!

Wow!! Thank you all for the suggestions. This may make a decision even harder.
But I think mother of GGGP will also be getting one for Christmas.
skyRavenWolf.com and Moncrieff Sporrans are calling my name.

I would email the Scottish Tartans Museum.
Ferguson Britt has made purses exactly as you've described in the past, and they're fantastic.
