Ordered a Freelander
I just put in an order for a Freelander sporran. I really liked the looks of the Black and Tan sporran, so I had to order one. It looks like it will coordinate quite well with the mocassin boots I have in similar colors.

He didn't have one on hand, so it will have to be made. So, I guess in about a month I'll be part of the Freelander club.

Very nice. I like Freelander's two tones very much and you're gonna love that sporran. Well made with LOTS of room.

That loud thump you just heard was me falling out of the box while thinking
Congratulations on you jonesing. I know you'll enjoy that sporran.
I was jsut thinking though, what do you get when you cross a two tone sporran with a two-tone kilt ala sports team colors?
Hmmmmm, a sporran made out of a football, soccerball (or football I guess depending on the continent ), basketball, hairball...errr scratch that last one.
Maybe a black sporran with Red, Green or Yellow 2nd color leather would probably cover a lot of teams.
Well, don't just sit there looking at me, help me back in the box!

What's the typical turn-around on a Freelander, and have folks been hit up for import duties?

I have this mental picture of myself in a horizontally barred rugby shirt in team colors, my tartan, and a regulation basketball strapped over my crotch. Perhaps with a big yellow cheese wedge for a hat!
a SWK black would look great with a soccer ball sporran, don't you think?

Turpin: I send all our sporrans marked as gifts on the package. No Company logo on the parcel so it should go under the radar .But it's a good question to ask .
In Norway I can except gifts og up to 1000Kr = $160 however I'm not allowed to import anything of a value of 200Kr = $32
Have you similar rules in the US ?

Dave,
Good for you! I love my Freelander. I'm going to post some pictuires tomorrow (hopefully) of the same outfit with my Two tone Freelander to show how brown and black leather can work wonderfully together. You will be very happy with David and Sten's work.
Cheers

Customs supposedly exempts items for personal use less than $200 in value. But if the nature of the item triggers "formal entry" such as woolens greater than $5 in value, then the Fedex Customs Broker automatically charges a $25 minimum fee. This is independent of the $200 exemption. Theoretically, a $10 pair of sock could cost you $35 total if shipped via Fedex. I've seen others post different experiences, this is just my recent experience with Fedex shipping.
