I like how they tag it Celtic Indian, then in the description mentions. It's likely a Middle Eastern origin because of the Arabic writting inside... I guess try to get it out to as many buyers as possible.

I agree totally with Peacekeepr on this one. I would not care to wear it for several reasons, not the least for what it could do to my kilt apron! Yes, I know, a sporran is a purse, but there are parameters at work here.

I would wear it - just once. At one of those uber-formal events - were everyone stands around drinking from very small glasses and making small-talk and wondering if there is going to be any food. A nice doublet with crisp white jabot and a sporran like that with more bling than all the ladies in the room put together.
Yes, I would wear it - just the once.

I would NOT wear it Chas, not even once; and if I was at the same formal event and you were wearing it? I'd probably be standing on the otherside of the room... looking the other way.

Well, I wouldn't wear it in Preston of course, that goes without saying.

And yet, I'd somehow feel safer wearing it.

wearing out in public on a nice day, you might attract a lot of black birds, crows, blue jays, or what ever kind of bird in your area that likes the "sparkelies".
