Pipe Banners
For the pipers here: any recommendations for a supplier of custom Pipe Banners? I know Cullinn Craft in California offers them, but I thought I'd double check here -- I'd prefer to stay away from the Pakistani Piping Supply sources.
Regards,
Todd

Re: Pipe Banners
FWIW I believe they use the same (Pakistani) supplier as Cullinn Craft...

What about Caberdancer? http://www.caberdancer.com/
I saw one photo of a custom pipe banner in their gallery.

www.GlengarryHats.com makes them. I have a doublet from Ian and it is very good quality and it was made in Pakistan.

Yes, they are on my list. I used to have one of their bonnets (sale pending), and while I was not displeased with it, given that this is a presentation banner for a society piper, we wanted to go with one made in Scotland or the USA over Pakistan.

Re: Pipe Banners
Pretty much all of the embroided things: Drum Major's baldrics, pipe banners, Pipe Major's arm insignias, are made in Pakistan, no matter where you buy it from.
They can do excellent work there! But strange things happen sometimes: a local band's Drum Major ordered a baldric, and part of the design was the California Bear as it appears on the flag of The California Republic.
Well, when that baldric came, the bear had a long tail!! Guess they've never seen a bear in Pakistan?

Don't get me wrong; our St. Andrew's Society had its blazer badges made through Bold Blazons in North Carolina, and I believe they contract with a Pakistani firm. We just wanted to support North American or Scottish companies first.
